This class will be an in depth, hands-on build which will empower participants to take this knowledge to create their own similar system.
The principles of the build, although focused on greenhouse heating, will also be applicable to a variety of applications including home heat, cooking and hot water production as well.
The class will run from Friday Evening (Nov. 2nd) through Sunday Afternoon (Nov. 4th) and will begin with a lecture and overview on fire-science as well as a group discussion.

Rocket stove heating in urban agriculture
Saturday and Sunday will be build days and we should be able to complete construction of the heater by late in the day on Sunday.
Topics covered will include code and legalities, foundations, brick laying, cob making, clay based mortars, clay plasters and heat transfer.
Dinner will be provided the first night, as well as lunch for Saturday and Sunday. If you are traveling from out of town, we may be able to facilitate in lodging you.
This class is being offered on a sliding scale from $150 - $250. The sliding scale is put into place to allow a wider demographic of students to attend the workshop. If you are able to pay on the high end, you are encouraged to do so as this allows us to offer scholarships and opportunities for attendance to those that are monetarily restricted.
If you are interested in attending but are limited by money, please contact me directly and explain your situation.
If you are wanting to register, or would like more information, please write me (Jim) at email@example.com If you are interested in other workshops or future builds, please feel free to check out the website at http://tallgrassvernacular.com
